I am an author, writer, speaker and trainer and always it seems, at the threshold of risk. That is to say I am not afraid to tell it how it is - even on the most difficult subjects. Someone once said that I "Plough a lonely furrow" but the field I have been ploughing for over twenty years is now yielding a wonderful crop of new ideas.

For many years I have studied and written about the kinds of subjects that people usually avoid - but I happen to believe that I have discovered some untold stories, and have made it my business to tell them in the only way I know how. I write books and get them out there, and if people want to hear more, I will come along and tell them more - I hope in an interesting way.

Ten years as a creative writing teacher have provided me with that invaluable gift: pupils to teach me how to write. Thanks to the training I received from them, I now help writers to write by email, as a kind of to get them moving out of the shallows and into the open sea.

Twenty years ago I discovered addiction to food and published a about that, The Food Addicts Diet, which launched me headlong, blinking and amazed, into the world of publishing.

It took another seven years to convince a publisher of the importance of my next book, Not out of Mind. This anthology explains, with a variety of model liturgies, how Christians can pray when a baby dies during pregnancy or around birth - and that includes miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth and neonatal death. This became a major project with four publications, and I founded Wren Publications in order to publish them. Not Out of Mind, originally published by Arthur James and now out of print, is also available exclusively from Wren Publications.

Then came womb twin survivors. Another lonely furrow to plough at first, but now a worldwide movement, to try and convince the world that, when a twin dies in the womb or close to birth, the loss of the co-twin leaves a profound psychological impression on the womb twin survivor. I now have a whole project devoted to this.

And that is not to mention a life-changing 400 mile pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela - a journey that I recorded live, every morning using a tiny microphone and a minidisc recorder. The result was Walk with Me. Listen to an extract here and you will see what I mean.

I have a lot to talk about and so I now give talks. The pilgrimage talk is popular, as are the workshops with wombtwin survivors, but I am open to anything. I love to meet with people and tell them stories and after so many years of struggling at the threshold of creative risk, I have a lot of stories to tell.

Lately, I have started to make movies for utube about some of these projects. They are not great but they may be a way to reach a new audience. Watch them here:

So please explore the projects, read more about me and if you would like me to give a talk somewhere near you, just complete today.
