Born in 1945 Althea Ramsay Wigan. Known to many people as "Tish". Lived as a child in Sussex. I was educated at the Convent of Our Lady of Zion, Worthing, Horsham High School for Girls, Chichester High School for Girls, Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford and the School of Social Work, Leicester University.

Now married and living in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Two grown-up sons.

After a short career in social work, a longer period as a mother, play group leader, adult education lecturer, seven years as a qualified counsellor, and some time working for the University of Hertfordshire, I have at last settled down to write, which has always been my first love.

So far, I have mostly written non-fiction, but I have a couple of novels and a book of fables up my sleeve. My published books are listed on this site and can be purchased from Wren Publications, of which I am sole proprietor.

I have recently began to develop my amateur connections to sound broadcasting by creating my own recordings of some of my therapeutic and spiritual work. This has involved a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in late summer 2005 when I made a series of 30 recordings which are now available on CD and you can here them (one each week) on Premier Radio on Sundays Jan-July 2007 at 11.15am.

I am a director of Radio Verulam in St Albans and Project Director of wombtwin.com, a new company formed in 2007 to develop the research into the psychological effect of being a wombtwin survivor which I began in 2002.

I am available to speak to anyone, anytime on any of these topics. I love to work with groups, give training sessions and take part in any activity that grows people. I try always to answer emails, so do get in touch soon and let's see what we can do if we work together!
