Wombtwin survivors I am writing a book about wombtwin survivors, (ie. the sole survivors of a twin or multiple pregnancy) which is coming to fruition at last after many years of intensive work and research, which is still on-going. I am doing this because I discovered not very long ago that I am a wombtwin survivor myself. I have built a special website, including a research questionnaire, in order to carry out the research. I work with wombtwin survivors from all over the world by e-mail. They are helping me to bring into the public eye this enormous group of millions of people whose needs have remained sadly neglected, simply because we didn't know who they were. In the meantime, I can help them. I offer a free e-mail service for the wombtwin survivors who visit my wombtwin.com website. In 1999 I helped to develop an internet-based counselling training course and I am able to call upon those skills when exploring the many possible psychological meanings behind the e-mails I receive. There is already "Untwinned". an anthology of papers on this topic, with more to come. The magnum opus ["Wombtwin Survivors"] is almost completed. It will shortly be doing the rounds of agents and publishers, so if you are interested, let me know! Not out of Mind Between 1991 and 1999 I gathered material together for a series of books about the death of a baby around birth. I called this project "Not out of Mind" based on the idea of ".....out of sight but never out of mind." I recognised that this was a zone of grief that was largely unaddressed. In particular the Christian Church had very little in the way of special prayers or services to meet the need of the bereaved families. This situation has improved only slightly since, therefore these books (most of which I had to publish myself and often at my own expense) are still available from Wren Publications. Addiction to food A major preoccupation with food for most of my life, and the discovery of food intolerance in 1984 lead to my first publication, the Food Addicts Diet, published by Headline Books in 1991. Since then my interest in addiction to food remains unabated. I have ideas for further books on the subject. The first stage of the process of discovering one's personal food "fixes" was published as "Food and You" in 2000, and is still available from Wren Publications. You can read extracts from this book and learn more about addiction to food on the Wren Publications website and my FOOD and YOU blog.
