All my life I felt mildy depressed, empty, I felt a strangeness regarding living and being alive. I have friends and a boyfriend, but I can neves quite connect with them or my family. I am 32 and have been in therapy (psychological therapy) for 16 years with no success. On the outside I lead a normal life. Always felt guilty for living, began a family history search to look for the roots of unhappiness (I thought that my ancestors sacrificed and led miserable lives for me to have a bright future). My mother says I did not have a twin (and there are no twins in the family), but somehow I have always fantasized about it and felt a fascination for twins. I used to feel that being born alone is boring, that having a twin is special. But as I don't have proof, I am not sure. [By a womb twin survivor in Argentina, sent anonymously]. |
