A surviving twin once wrote these words for me:

It is indeed a silent cry that begins in the womb and can last a lifetime unless given a voice.  You are giving a voice to those survivors.

Many hundreds of people have contacted me in the last five years and some of them have told me their story in detail. I have negotiated with them to reproduce their stories anonymously in an anthology of stories written by wombtwin survivors themselves.

This book of stories has a three-fold aim:

  •  To help  wombtwin survivors tell their story, which is excellent for their healing and self awareness

  •  To help other wombtwin survivors to have that "Aha!" moment while reading some of the stories

  •  To help the people who don't understand to gain some insight into how it feels to be a wombtwin survivor.

REVIEWS:

Thanks for providing me with the opportunity to review your anthology of A Silent Cry. For me, I have been very absorbed in heavy double grief release over the womb loss of my identical twin brother Norman and the recent loss of my apricot poodle, Prancer. (The synchronicity was really awesome!) I therefore read this book with intentional and deliberate paced focus. And there was absolutely no doubt, in identifying with each sharing I read, that my wombtwin loss is real, authentic and deeply impacted my whole life as I stopped at many junctures to absorb the lessons of my journey thus far.

For me, this anthology on wombtwin survivors ought not to be read lightly, for in those who have reserved doubts about being a survivor I highly recommend this gift to humanity by Althea Hayton in trusting this anthology of the feelings and the journeys contained within the words shared, and in personally validating their own inner journey to healing.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this powerful anthology... we are no longer alone in our Silent Cry of our past journeys.

Wishing all love and healing, Gerald Norman Burnett
